Our esteemed client, a frontrunner in the commercial construction industry, particularly renowned for its expertise in Design-Build General Contracting and Structural Concrete projects, is actively seeking a meticulous and proficient Senior Accounting Accountant for their team. In this role, you'd be tasked with the management, supervision, and oversight of all accounting, financial, and administrative operations within the company.
Location: Woodland Hills, CA
Salary: $70,000.00 to $80,000.00
What You'll Do:
Manage and oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.

• Ensure the efficiency of team members handling accounting, personnel administration, commercial and statutory reporting, and related tasks.
• Supervise and coordinate the accounting and administrative activities of other project offices as necessary.

• Establish and maintain relationships with banks and other institutions as required to support activities and in accordance with corporate policies.

• Coordinate with external auditorsand tax advisors to facilitate annual audits and special audit functions.
• Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
• Provide support and collaborate with other departments and projects to assist in their administrative needs and to streamline processes and improve efficiency across the organization.
• Take general management direction from immediate supervisor.
• Stay current with accounting regulations and industry best practices to ensure compliance and optimize financial performance.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, analysis, and management.
• Minimum of eight years of experience in construction accounting or related field, or equivalent combinations of training and experience.
• Extensive knowledge of standard accounting procedures, company policies, standards, and the requirements of each construction contract required.
• Proficient communication and organizational skills essential.
• Proven track record of success in managing accounting functions within the construction sector.
• Ability to adapt to evolving industry trends and regulations.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in relevant accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.
