Responsibilities

The Facility Security Officer will interface directly with management across all divisions of Iron EagleX to address security items specific to each program/contract at HQ in Tampa, FL

Job Duties Include (but not limited to):

• Provide iterative support to the full software life cycle, to include late stage solutions with additions, updates, and fixes
• Author security volumes and provide security oversight and support to business development and proposal development.
• Collaborate with corporate security personnel for security metrics reporting and to keep executive level leadership well informed of issues that could impact specific contracts or the corporate enterprise.
• Increase security proficiency and value through continued security education and training and active involvement in industrial security working groups, forums and conferences.
• Develop and deliver Security Awareness, Training and Education briefings, and products to our program personnel.
• Interface directly with customer security representatives for required reporting of personnel clearance actions and any relevant changes to our security baseline.
• Prepare, obtain approval for and execute security plans (Security Operating Procedures (SOP), Systems Security Plans (SSPs), Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), etc).
• Check DISS daily for messages from the CAF, expiring Visit Request (VRs), employees due for Periodic Reinvestigations
• Perform pre-employment clearance checks for the recruiting team daily
• Submit VRs, PR’s, Initial Investigations, and respond to messages from the CAF
• Weekly – Update division leaders on the status of Personnel and Visit Requests within their division during Division briefings
• Perform new hire security in processing to include indoc briefing of security requirements for all New Hires
• Update and maintain all security related training materials to include: Annual refresher briefing, Foreign travel, NATO, and others as applicable
• Perform annual security refresher training for the company
• Perform self-inspections as required to prepare for DSS inspections
• Achieve a satisfactory or higher rating for all DSS inspections
• Participate in activities to achieve additional points during audits in the attempt to achieve a commendable rating.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience as an FSO OR 6 years of experience as an FSO
• Experience interfacing with government SSOs/PSOs for access nominations, development/accreditation of secure facilities, accreditation of secure IT systems and interpretation of security classification guides.
• High level of understanding and proficiency of the NISPOM.
• In-depth knowledge of the NISP and proven experiences with DSS Security Vulnerability Assessments.
• Proficiency and experience in the following security disciplines: personnel security clearances, investigations, physical security, document control, information systems security, preparing and processing DD254, visitor control, badging and access control and Special Access Programs (SAP).
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Current FSO Certification
• Ability to multi-task and excel in a highly dynamic, multi-customer environment.
• Collaborative decision maker.
• Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role. 

Desired Skills:

• High level of proficiency with National Background Investigation Services (NBIS), DISS, Access Commander, SIMs
• Working knowledge of Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs) – ICD 704, 503, 705
• Understanding of export control requirements as related to the NISP

Education & Certifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience 

Security Clearance: 

• An active Top Secret security clearance is Required
