Intuit is Hiring a Principal, Product Marketing Near Mountain View, CA

Accountants are Intuit's top priority partner. 9 out of 10 SMB owners report that having an accountant makes them more successful, confident, and less stressed about their business. Thanks to our 30 year history of deep partnership with accounting professionals, Intuit has almost 1M active ProAdvisors helping our SMB customers across the globe. However, we recognize that we must be building more offerings for our SMB, MM, and SP customers with accountants' needs in mind to maintain our deep partnership ties.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of working successfully across internal teams and external communities to unleash partner and business outcomes. We are looking for equal parts quantitative-synthesizer, accountant-need strategist, coalition-building activator, and business-focused executor.

  • Identify the intersection of accountant needs and business opportunity
  • Inspire and partner with diverse teams across the business to deliver win-win-win strategies for our customers, partners, and our business
  • Run minimum efficient process to streamline Voice of Accountant (VOA) quant and qual data synthesis to deliver empirically sound prioritization using auditable analytics, and partner with product, GTM, Sales, and Customer success team
  • Drive quarterly global meetings to share VOA insights, align on accountant opportunities, and capture critical accountant actions to accelerate customer, partner, and business outcomes
  • Inspire accountant champions across SBSEG, CG, and PCG to utilize accountant use/love/recommend metrics and unlock accountant opportunities in annual plans and quarterly product and GTM roadmaps
  • Oversee a robust change management process that ensures QuickBooks ProAdvisors are proactively briefed on most important changes in their client's and their firms' workflows

Qualifications:

Critical Competencies 

 

  • Partner Empathy: Gracefully receive input via a wide variety of perspectives to build the conviction that Intuit understands, cares for and is investing in accounting professionals, while also conveying a clear idea of where Intuit stands on sticky issues aligned with our values and strategy
  • Voice of Partner Synthesis: Ability to collect a tremendous amount of partner feedback, operationalize strategic filters to to prioritize the top partner pain points that will unlock our customer and business growth.  With the direction of the Partner Transformations Leader, build out the top priorities to unlock the opportunity, customer-, partner-, and data-back. Communicate priorities to win through a strategic frame internally and externally and our progress against them
  • Coalition Building Activator: Building on your partner empathy and strategy synthesis, you will co-create plans with the appropriate segment teams to deliver against top VOA and ensure our Say/Do builds trust and inspires increasing amounts of partner confidence. Be the connective tissue and between the feedback and priorities and segment strategy and priority development. Inspire and lead internal teams to take action on top Partner needs aligned to our Ecosystem strategy

Goals & Accountability

  • Own the Partners Transformation pillar: ACTIONED VOA as measured by segment team specific roadmap changes to deliver for accountants as users, customers (of our midmarket offerings), and channel partners that accelerate usage, PRS scores, and recommendations 
  • In partnership with segment champions and the relevant teams, drive the creation and execution of action plans to win the hearts and minds of accountants: For top business priorities (e.g., MM, QB Live, WFS, and Money) enrich Intuit offerings and strategy by capturing, relaying and asserting needs to unlock growth by driving the closure of gaps between our plan for key product lines vs what’s needed to win
  • Curate prioritized list of ecosystem Voice of Accountant to prioritize the right work to solve the top accountant needs inhibiting their usage, delight, and recommendation of our offerings for their clients’ workflows 
    • Partner with CS and PM teams across the SBSEG segment teams to generate, prioritize, and action the top pain points aligned to our strategy
    • Publish a partner-facing version of this list quarterly to the community and provide monthly updates on progress in our Monthly In The Know Webinars to accelerate their visibility into our Say/Do ratio, better understand our strategy, and grow their confidence in our partnership with them
    • Build process for Accountant champions in every segment across product, GTM, CS to deliver against accountant accelerators
