Electronics Technician I
JOB DECRIPTION:
Medical Device Manufacturer located in north Austin has an immediate permanent opening for an Electronics Technician in the Test and Calibration department. It requires a self starter that is accurate, detailed and reliable in their work. Productivity is expected with minimal supervision.
The position requires the candidate to test and calibrate both large and bench top electro- mechanical medical devices. Maintain production schedules. Perform inspections and repairs on circuit boards. Provide technical support when problems are found. Generate accurate and complete production documentation.
Take service calls and communicate directly with customers on basic technical and troubleshooting questions. Diagnose and repair customer returns. Inform customer service on repair times and materials used.
REQUIREMENTS:
Associates Degree in a technical/electronics field or equivalent military training required
3-5 years work experience in calibration and manufacturing environments
Must have strong troubleshooting experience at both the board component and system levels
Ability to read and interpret schematics/drawings
Must have extensive background in the use of common electronics measuring equipment such as Volt meters and Oscilloscopes
Knowledge of analog and digital circuitry
Must be able to solder through hole and surface mount
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent customer service skills and able to work well with others
Must pass drug screening and background check
