We are seeking a bright, enthusiastic, and independent minded individual, with 5 years of electronic troubleshooting and component level circuit board repair experience, to join our fast-growing operation as a HIFU Probe Repairer. This individual will be an essential member of EDAP’s Focal One support team.
This is a full-time, salaried position based at our offices in Austin, TX, and may require some weekend work from time to time. Candidate must pass an extensive background check, drug testing and have a clean driving record.
Based in the Austin, TX area and reporting to the VP of Service, the HIFU Probe Repairer is responsible for repairing, calibrating and quality testing the dynamic focusing Focal One HIFU probe. The HIFU Probe Repairer will also be responsible for documenting all steps of the repair process per EDAP-TMS Quality Management Guidelines.
Qualifications
· Documented training in electronics from an accredited institution, receiving a certificate or degree.
· 5 years’ experience working with electronics and troubleshooting problems required.
· 5 years’ experience in PCB assembly/repair, component replacement level.
· Superior soldering skills required.
· Ability to read and follow electronic diagrams, drawings & schematics.
· Familiar with the use of Oscilloscopes, multimeters, impedance, and pressure meters.
· Exceptional documentation and attention to detail skills.
Functions and Responsibilities
· Responsible for repairing the Focal One Robotic HIFU dynamic focusing ultrasound probe, precisely following the established probe repair procedures.
· Completes all calibration and quality testing procedures following the repairs, precisely following established procedures, to ensure the HIFU probe is functioning properly and within specifications.
· Ensures quality system requirements are met & maintained.
· Reports and documents ALL repairs made completing the forms required.
· Reports and documents ALL faults observed during the repair, calibration and quality testing process to identify any failure trends.
· Provides feedback to the VP of Service concerning product performance anomalies encountered during the HIFU Probe Repair process and suggests recommendations for improvements.
· Works with the Supply Manager to ensure the parts inventory needed for making HIFU probe repairs are maintained at a sufficient par level to meet the repair needs
· Must have reliable transportation and possess a valid driver's license.
· Must be physically fit and able to lift 30-50 lbs.
· Any other duties and tasks which may be assigned from time to time.
