Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Follows performance goals accordingly.•Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product.
•Meets with key customers, assisting sales representatives with logistics situations.
•Analyzes and controls expenditures of department to conform to budgetary requirements.
•Inventory control.
•Procurement analysis.
•Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of competitors.
•Manages office and warehouse supplies for its branch.
•Supervises the activities of workers engaged in receiving, storing, testing, and shipping products.
•Interviews, selects, and trains warehouse, drivers and supervisory personnel.
•Enforces safety and sanitation regulations.
•Confers with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities.
•Plans and establishes work schedules, assignments, and logistics sequences to meet goals.
•Coordinate the delivery and receiving of all shipments.
•Keeps records of employees' attendance and hours worked.
•Manages branch vehicles and equipment.
•Creates and enforces transportation-related policies.
•Conducts investigations in cooperation with government agencies to determine causes of transportation accidents and to improve safety procedures.
•Directs activities for maintaining and repairing vehicles.
•Negotiates contracts with vendors performing maintenance and repairs.
•Maintains records related to compliance with DOT regulations.
•Monitors vehicle performance and cost.
•Plans and implements energy-saving changes, such as reducing routes, optimizing capacities, employing alternate modes of transportation, or minimizing idling.
