POSITION SUMMARY
The Business Development Specialist initiates one-on-one dialog with potential referral sources and maintains positive relationships with current referral sources. They design, develop, and drive cutting-edge sales strategies designed to increase patient admissions through the building of long-term relationships with these referring facilities, clinics, community partners, and physicians.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Excellent project management, organizational skills, strong interpersonal skills, writing skills, communication, and presentation skills including the ability to effectively communicate cross-functionally with senior levels of management
Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with senior management, physicians, clinicians, admissions, and members of the business development team
Assist with creating and strengthening referral relationships
Assist with organizing and planning off-site and on-site facility-specific events
Develops and maintains new account relationships and markets. Targets and creates new strategies for increasing business in highly competitive markets. Increases the number of referral sources
Develop strong relationships with key referral sources. Develop and maintain key business development accounts and respond to all business development opportunities.
Maintain and lend customer support to a designated number of targeted referral source contacts weekly.
Act as a liaison between the facility, referral sources, and the general public to further the goals and positive, professional image of the facility.
Manage leads from referral sources.
Maintain current awareness of changes in the industry through self-education, peer education, and professional and community involvement for the betterment of this position and the facility.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Behavioral Health, Marketing, or related field preferred.
Minimum of three years of experience in a healthcare/mental health business development/marketing environment is essential. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in addiction and/or mental health treatment, or those with equivalent experience in related areas.
Good understanding of the local market and referral base.
Organize and demonstrate the ability to multitask and have well-developed and effective relational skills.
Must be able and willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, early mornings, and weekends.
Independent and effective problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills with a teamwork approach
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHR systems
Employment with Interdynamics is contingent upon completing screening requirements (including, but not limited to, Criminal Background Check and State Child Abuse Registry Clearance).
