Sales Operations Assistant

Scope of Responsibilities: The Sales Operations Assistant is responsible for supporting the sales team in order to meet sales objectives for the company. This position is responsible for generating weekly sales reports including opportunities, sales, and forecasting. The individual will work closely with the regional business development managers assisting them with record-keeping and administrative functions.

Essential Functions:

• Develop Monthly Sales Reports:
  • Utilizing Salesforce and Excel to track sales.
    • Opportunities
    • Awards and losses
    • Forecasting
    • Hit Rates
• Sales Meetings
  • Conduct weekly meetings with the sales team to ensure forecasting is up to date and accurate.
  • Manage weekly bid / no bid meetings.
• Salesforce:
  • Account manager for Salesforce.
    • Maintain user accounts.
    • Enter new customer accounts.
    • Maintain current customer contacts.
    • Develop custom reports as required.
    • Modify user interface
• ERP Data Entry:
  • Working with Business Development Managers to ensure data in the company ERP system (Vista) is kept current.
  • Extract and distribute weekly reports on awarded jobs.
  • Collaborate with sales, product development, and other teams to align marketing efforts with overall business objectives.
• Support:
  • Support the sales department with other administrative duties as requested.
  • Contact customers when necessary to obtain missing information to support sales.
  • Direct incoming sales calls to the responsible individual within the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with MS office with a good understanding of Excel in particular.
• Experience with Salesforce.
• Understanding of sales performance metrics.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Team player.
• Ability to work under deadlines.
