Our Sales Support Manager is critical to providing our customers with quality service. Expect detailed training to achieve mastery of our products, processes, and customer service procedures.
This is a hybrid sales manager position requiring 2-3 days per week in the office with the opportunity to work from home the rest of the week. Normal in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and either Wednesday or Thursday, as needed.
Here are some examples of the actual work your day as an sales manager would include.
- Monitor metrics of all Sales Support staff and coach on opportunities
- Create and analyze reports and review weekly metrics, calls, emails, and chats to ensure goals are being met
- Create and execute sales training and development plans for new and tenured employees
- Ensure scheduling is adequate for customer demands while balancing labor costs
- Conduct root cause analysis for opportunities and carry out solutions
- Optimize workflow of sales department tasks and projects
- Facilitate cross-training opportunities while ensuring SOPs are created and maintained in the process
- Coordinate Certified Service Technician (CAST) trainings
- Oversee Dealer Packet distribution
- Complete price sheet updates annually and as needed
- Coordinate new product launches between internal and external staff as well as customers
- Configure and enhance SalesForce use
- Run projects such as Find a Dealer/Installer from beginning to end
- Perform annual and quarterly sales staff reviews
- Support leadership with new and ongoing projects to increase departmental success
- Act as a technical resource for the B2B sales department
- Report metrics during weekly Sales Meetings
To be successful in this role, you need to have the following knowledge and skills:
- 3-5 years of leadership experience in sales management or customer service preferred
- Technical background is a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient computer knowledge in Word and Excel (SalesForce experience a plus)
- Hands-on mind set with the ability to work in an office environment
This inside sales position requires data entry, remaining stationary at a desk, and analyzing a computer screen for extended periods of time. In addition, portions of the training require shadowing other departments that may require physical activity including lifting 25-35 pounds and standing for long periods of time. Reasonable accommodations will be made for candidates with different abilities.
We need a Sales Support Manager that has a positive attitude. The words “can’t” and “impossible” are not part of your vocabulary. You must have the ability to learn quickly and retain a large amount of information to help develop exceptional customer service representatives and sales professionals. This person should continually add value to the organization beyond their day-to-day tasks.
Availability
You must be available to work between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday - Friday, with occasional Saturdays during peak times.
- Hybrid position – Typically on-site Mondays and Tuesdays but may vary week to week.
- B2B and B2C customer service experience preferred
- Excellent customer service skills
- Resourceful and ability to research
- Communicate status updates on repairs/warranty work (need excellent communication and organizational skills)
- Culture fit - working cross departmentally to achieve goals.
- Technical Aptitude - Ability to technically troubleshoot, troubleshooting background (cars, etc.)
- Management Experience - need a management slam dunk
