InTANDEM HR is Hiring a Benefits Specialist Near Denver, CO

JOB TITLE: Benefits SpecialistREPORTS TO: CFODEPARTMENT: BenefitsFLSA STATUS: ExemptPAY RANGE: $65,000 - $80,000ANTICIPATED CLOSE DATE: 5/1/2024
BENEFITS OFFERED: Employer paid medical, dental, basic life insurance, vision and life insurance, 401(k) with matching after six months, heaps of ancillary benefits options! EAP fully covered. 
OVERVIEW: The Benefits Specialist assists in the maintenance of the PEO’s benefits program, internally and for our multiple clients, and manages the benefits administration and all system related benefits issues/improvements/roll outs. Is a Benefits subject matter expert and point of contact for employee and client benefit inquiries, FAMLI (and other out of state paid family leave programs). Assists with the design and implementation of current and new benefit programs. Leads Open Enrollment process from start to finish. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reconciliation of monthly insurance bills.
  • Pay monthly insurance bills.
  • Strategize on and set up structure for annual open enrollment process.
  • Update online benefits portal with plans and rates.
  • Communicate over or under payment of insurance plans to clients and HR Generalists.
  • Work directly with payroll and HR departments to communicate refunds and collections on insurance plans.
  • Analyze applicability of ACA to ALE’s and generate health coverage information forms (1095-C and 1094-C) as necessary
  • Determine applicable recipients of Medicare Part D notice and send to all as required
  • Set up all insurance plan benefits deductions in Prism HR system
  • Lead development of open enrollment communications and education.
  • Responsible for the management and administration of all employee benefit plans and wellness programs, including but not limited to medical, dental, life, disability, supplemental plans, FSA, HSA, COBRA, and 401(k).
  • Work closely with benefit vendors, brokers, and consultants to ensure a high degree of customer satisfaction and superior administration.
  • Prepare, collect, and organize data for annual plan audits and reporting.
  • Provide excellent customized service that exceeds our client expectations with dedicated staff.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting, either remotely or in the office. Only qualified employees are allowed to work fully remote (live more than 75 miles away from the business address and have Prism and Benefits Administration experience). All others must work two days in the office, Wednesday and the second day of their choosing, with no Fridays in office.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use a computer and phone.POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred but not required.
  • 5 years of experience in the field of Employee Benefits, Group Insurance plans, etc.
  • Exceptional computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Office) and the ability to learn and adapt to new systems.
  • PEO experience highly desirable
  • Multi-state, multi-plan knowledge and experience
  • Use of HRIS systems, preferably related to the PEO industry (we use PrismHR)
