Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Technician to join our healthcare team. As a Patient Care Technician, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care and support to ensure the comfort and well-being of our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with daily activities, monitoring patient vital signs, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Duties:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Collect specimens for laboratory testing
- Assist with patient mobility and transfers
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Ensure patient rooms are clean and organized
- Follow infection control protocols to prevent the spread of diseases
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a certified nursing assistant (CNA) or patient care technician (PCT) program preferred
- Current CPR certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients
