Innovative-IDM is looking for you. We are one of the country’s premier Industrial Automation and Motion Controls Distributors looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team.

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will report directly to the Controller in carrying out Accounts Receivable responsibilities in the Accounting/Finance Department.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Apply customer payments.
• Research customer discrepancies and past-due amounts.
• Generates standard past-due/collections correspondence, reviews files to identify delinquent accounts and to request payment.
• Provides reports reflecting current status of customer accounts.
• Process credit card payments and manual credits.
• Maintains accurate customer files; keeps track of name changes, mergers, address changes, and mailing attentions for all divisions.
• Duplicates, files, and retrieves accounts receivable material as needed.
• Assist the Controller in monthly reconciliation of revenue accounts.
• Assist AP with light invoice entry.
• Performs other duties and projects as assigned by controller.

Job Duties:

• Create new customer accounts.
• Follow and enforce detailed department policies.
• Negotiate payment terms for new customer accounts and purchase orders.
• Perform credit checks for high volume and new customers.
• Collect past-due invoices for customer accounts with a minimum number of daily contacts.
• Prepare detailed notes on each customer contact in the CRM system.
• Process credit card payments as needed.
• Process and reconcile daily credit card report.
• Upload invoices to outside customer portals and learn specific requirements for each portal.
• Update information on current customer accounts.
• Post customer checks and ACH payments to customer accounts.
• Prepare manual invoices and follow up on large down payment for progress orders.
• Research and resolve customer issues on customer’s account including credits and returns.
• Maintain, review and release orders in suspense.
• Complete any special projects given by the Controller.
• Answer phone calls from customers and other employees.
• High levels of problem solving and juggling time sensitive demands.

• Strong organizational skills required.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills required.
• Must have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills and be a team player.
• Must be a self-starter with capacity to multi-task and resolve multiple challenges in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must be able to take direction and run with it.
• Must be detail oriented.
