We are currently looking for a Senior Project Manager (12 month contract) to join our team who will directly support the Sales Executive with project management, sourcing, and product development for projects from start to finish in personal care, cosmetics, and wellness. We’re looking for a candidate with a strong customer-oriented mindset and experience with project management and sourcing with vendors in Asia. 

Note: This is a hybrid position based in our El Segundo, CA office

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

• Work with clients (directly and indirectly) to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements for each project.
• Communicate with clients during the development and order process to ensure critical path timelines are adhered to.
• Provide excellent customer service and thorough flawless execution of projects. Oversee and manage all customer needs with respect to upcoming/open projects.
• Take ownership of projects’ lifecycles to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and within scope.
• Set scope, deadlines, assign resources, monitor and summarize progress of project. Perform risk management to minimize project risks. Manage changes and adjustments in the process.
• Manage and develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients, team members and vendor partners.
• Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional departments (Creative, Operations, Accounting, Logistics, Quality/ Regulatory, etc) to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible.
• Establish and maintain relationships with domestic and overseas third parties/vendors. Communicate with vendors regarding project sampling through production.
• Review sample submissions ensuring they meet customers’ expectations.
• Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques. Propose efficiencies and process improvements.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

ABOUT YOU:

• 5 to 7 years experience in project management and product development
• Understanding of manufacturing and development in the beauty and personal care space
• Experience in managing relationships with vendors and clients
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational, analytical and time management skills
• Must be able to multi-task, set priorities, and be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for beauty and personal care
• Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or related field.
