TITLE: Plant Accountant I LOCATION: Indianapolis Plant - Indianapolis, IN REPORTS TO: Senior Plant Accountant CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: • Responsible for ensuring that all accounting transactions are in accordance with U.S. GAAP and are accurately and properly stated for the Potato East plants (Plover and Fort Fairfield). • Conduct all month-end and year-end processes as required. Supply relevant supporting documentation to internal and external customers. • Provide accurate and timely month-end reporting for yield, production, and plant spend. • Work cross functionally within the Potato East plants to monitor trends to prepare monthly forecasts and periodic budgets on plant manufacturing expenses. • Review daily production and inventory adjustments to ensure accurate and timely performance reporting. Oversee inventory receipts/balances to ensure accurate balance sheet accounts. • Prepare monthly account reconciliations to ensure balance sheet accuracy. • Perform monthly, quarterly, annual Sarbanes-Oxley testing. QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required. • 0-3 years of relevant experience. • Understanding of accounting concepts and theories used in a manufacturing environment. • Ability to plan and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate to various levels within the organization. • Ability to meet deadlines. • Strong computer skills, including Excel and PowerPoint. • SAP experience strongly preferred. • Ability to travel as necessary.
