Understand and apply fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of systems engineering to effectively plan and execute engineering projects.
Develop project plans and schedules in collaboration with the engineering organization.
Lead projects and technical teams in designing, validating, and managing configuration improvements for platform products.
Ensure all projects are managed within agreed scope, schedule, and budget, maintaining high levels of quality and safety.
Prepare bids and support proposal development efforts as required.
Provide support to various functional organizations (Program Office, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Finance, etc.) to ensure successful project completion.
Forecast resources required for engineering projects under your responsibility.
Coordinate and facilitate the development of corrective action activities.
Identify critical issues promptly and manage them to closure in a timely manner.
Develop and deliver executive-level summaries.
Utilize established metrics to monitor project performance effectively.
Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Computer Engineering preferred. Other technical degrees considered with relevant experience. Additional degree in Business Administration is advantageous.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the engineering/defense industries.
Familiarity with Earned Value Management.
Understanding of the defense acquisition process.
Experience in technical interface with customers.
Strong organizational skills to lead and direct others in a team-based environment.
Analytical skills and ability to guide technical analyses.
Willingness to travel (domestic and/or foreign) as required.
Ability to work occasional evening and/or weekend overtime.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
