Porter - Food Service

The Adrian Dominican Sisters are seeking a full time, day shift Food Service Porter to assist with stocking and organizing food service deliveries to multiple dining halls across the Motherhouse campus in Adrian, MI.

If you are looking for a full time, Monday - Friday food service position with no weekends or holidays come see about us! Our Motherhouse is home to 300 retired Sisters and has 2 different style dining areas where you will work with our Food Service team to provide excellent dining services to Sisters and other guests.

Hours : Full Time, 7 : 30am - 4 : 00pm on M-T-W-F . 6 : 30am-3 : 00pm on Thursdays . Occasional changes in schedule with large projects.

No weekends or holidays!

Pay : 17.65 / hr.

In this role you will be responsible for : Receiving Food Service deliveries and appropriately stocking items according to specification.

Maintain organization in freezer, refrigerators, and dry storage areas. Clean equipment, walls, ceilings and other items in kitchen.

REQUIREMENTS :

Experience : Experience with receiving stock, cleaning fryers, ovens, and stoves preferred. Experience using commercial chemicals is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : Ability to project a friendly service oriented attitude. Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions.

Ability to adhere to food safety requirements. Organizational skill and ability to work independently.

Physical : Must be able to frequently bend, reach and carry approximately 50 pounds. Must be able to use ladder. Must be able to sit, stand, and walk about up to 8-hours per day.

Must be sighted and capable of hearing. Must be able to work in cold storage and freezer areas. Annual influenza vaccination is required for this position.
