About the Role Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) project managers are responsible to ensure the technical integrity of their products and services, have decision making authority over project execution, ensure understanding of internal customer/program requirements by functional team members, develop product roadmaps to ensure responsiveness to customer requirements, advocate supportability and maintainability improvements, lead product deep dives, and manage all logistics deliverables that exceed customer expectations. Responsibilities to Anticipate for this role The ILS manager will oversee execution of the SMET and RCV Integrated Product Support IPTs. Responsibilities include:
Oversight, coordination, and management of deliveries
Support to the Program Office
Negotiate Logistics scope and budget with ILS functional leads and customers
Ensure compliance with program direction and ILS strategy
Support bids, proposals, project planning and prioritization, budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, and execution of all ILS elements
Be the face of ILS and Logistics Engineering to internal/external customers
Communicate and interact with internal and external customers – provide organizational communication regarding ILS programs
Represent GDLS during program level meetings, engineering milestone reviews, and other significant events
Plan and coordinate proposal estimates to ensure competitive bids are consistent with requirements, assumptions, and price targets
Monitor project performance for resources, processes, manpower, technical performance, schedule, and budget
Establish and maintain the Integrated Logistic Support Plan (ILSP) for each program as required
Lead Logistics Engineering issues resolution and manage ILS program risk
Establish and lead ILS/ILM Integrated Product Team (IPT) and working groups as defined by contract, and manage all IPT responsibilities associated with that role
Qualifications Sought
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business required
7-10 years of experience in Defense industry, preferably in Engineering and/or Logistics
Military experience a plus
Experience using Teamcenter and CAD models a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to decompose complex issues
Comfortable leading project teams
Familiarity with LT&E TSAIR database and IETM development and delivery processes are a plus
Strong decision-making skills
Working knowledge of Army vehicle platforms, preferably S-MET and RCV.
