Job Description:
The Engineering Project Manager will be responsible for managing engineering projects from conception to completion. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management engineering, with experience in APQP and prototype development. The Engineering Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain project plans based on timing, resource, and budget requirements.
- Establish prototype inventory levels needed (initial) and monitor throughout the development program
- Work with other departments to coordinate activities needed for project milestones.
- Able to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Familiar with detailed Engineering drawings regarding dimensions, GD&T, fit and finish, and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of APQP methodology and elements.
- Proficient with MS office programs – Excel, Word, Project, Powerpoint
- Able to manage the Engineering Change Notice process
- Familiar with web-based file management systems – Share Point, One Drive, etc.
- Familiar with detailed cost analysis methods.
- Experience with customer interactions, including chairing meetings.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- 2-5 years of experience in project engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with APQP and prototype development
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Proficient in Sharepoint, One Drive, and SAP
- Ability to perform cost analysis and manage project budgets
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
