Description:
The purpose of ESY is to help some of our more significant special education students maintain the learning that has occurred during the past year. Our ESY Building Coordinators will be selecting teachers and teaching assistants for our ESY positions from the pool of applicants. The ESY Building Coordinators will base staff selections on their previous experience working with applicants and the recommendations from teachers who have worked with our students during the school year. Each year we do hire a number of college age graduates and college students with appropriate certification as a way to introduce them to the prospect of a career in education or to offer practical classroom experience for those studying to be teachers.

ESY Schedule:
June 13 & 14 - Staff Training
June 15 - July 19
No School July 4
Student contact Monday - Thursday

Qualifications: Qualified candidates will have a Professional Educator License with Social Work endrosement. Candidates with special education experience preferred.

Rate of Pay: $31.00/hour

Working Conditions: 4 hours in the morning, times will be adjusted by level to accommodate transportation.

Selection Procedure: Candidates will be selected by the ESY Building Coordinators. It will be our intention to notify certified and classified staff that have been hired for ESY and then notify those applicants who did not receive positions for ESY as soon as possible. We expect the communication to occur by April 20.
