Position Summary

The Business Analyst (BA) employee will support our multi-client, healthcare software solutions. The business analyst will act as key member of the Product Development team, liaising between ongoing enhancements for end users (gathering requirements), support to technical operations support (documentation) and product development prioritization and documentation.

Essential Functions

1. Define and document/communicate business requirements.
2. Develop and document medium to high complexity business workflows.
3. Analyze scope and resolution of medium to large size Operations Management (OM) and development requests.
4. Provide clear description of problems / issues for medium to high complexity problems.
5. Present options for problem resolution
6. Contribute to developing organizational functional knowledge.
7. Demonstrate subject matter expertise in healthcare claims, eligibility, provider, and care management areas.
8. Assist in estimation of small to medium size work effort.
9. Establish and manage overall project plans for small to medium size efforts.
10. Anticipates customer needs and proactively develops solutions to meet them.
11. Serves as a key resource on complex and/or critical issues.
12. Solves complex problems and develops innovative solutions.
13. Conducts JAD sessions to gather requirement / document business process flows.
14. Serving as a key resource to investigate and resolve complex and/or critical issues.
15. Providing project and analytical support
16. Recommend solutions to issues and business problems.
17. Facilitate the collaboration of stakeholders, especially the ability to effectively manage client/ customers.
18. Identify and execute on opportunities for process improvements.
19. Determining and defining business requirements based on government regulations and business needs.
20. Liaison between the business unit and the IT department
21. Providing leadership to resolve complex issues with business users.
22. Communicating with audiences and SME's at all levels of management to provide project results / options.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, or a related area Preferred.
• 3 years of IT Business Analysis experience, gathering and writing business requirements, working directly with customers/stakeholders, IT applications development projects and data analysis.
• Proficient with PC based software programs and automated database management systems
• Demonstrated process improvement, workflow, benchmarking and/or evaluation of business processes required.
• Excellent communication, problem solving, organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment.
