Description
Seeking a business analyst to help maintain the USSOUTHCOM Enterprise System in Doral FL. The work entails analyzing business and technical requirements, complex administrative and analytical tasks in support of enterprise operations. By providing this direct support to SOUTHCOM (a combatant command) you help keep its mission on the tip of the spear. This position supports SOUTHCOM's transformative move to a Zero Trust Architecture in alignment with the DoD Zero Trust Strategy and Executive Order (EO) 14028. Your work enables the government customer to conduct business in defense of U.S. policies and directives in the Caribbean, Central and South American area of responsibility.
Responsibilities
Typical Responsibilities/Tasks:
· Elicit, gather, document, and analyze business and technical requirements and process workflows
· Create and update documentation for existing and new information technology systems (e.g., requirements analysis, use cases, user stories, and level of effort/resource estimates)
· Analyze detailed system factors, including input/output requirements, information flow, hardware/software requirements, and reliability characteristics.
· Perform complex administrative and analytical tasks
· Monitor and report performance against plans to ensure contractual, cost, and schedule objectives are met
· Interact regularly with customers and other industry representatives to ensure conformance to customer requirements
· Evaluate current ITIL ITSM environment and existing processes using industry best practices to improve and simplify processes
· Provide ITIL best practice service management consulting at a strategic, design, and operational level
· Develop strategies to eliminate gaps in service while improving efficiency and effectiveness
· Perform gap analysis, identify risk, provide risk remediation strategies, and provide recommendations to improve processes
· Champion organizational change and adoption of service management best practices by providing coaching and training to ingrain processes into the culture
· Provide guidance and implements processes and artifacts for Service Strategy, Service Design, Continual Service Improvement, and Quality Assurance processes
· Provide project management expertise to support Operations and Maintenance (O&M) activities and new Information Technology (IT) requirements
· Create clear and attainable project objectives, build project requirements, and manage constraints
· Develop the overall project plan, resource loading, project schedule, and manage project operations
· Manage the project stakeholders, project team, project risk, project schedule, and project conflicts
· Ensure proper communications are established between customers, teams, and vendors to facilitate the delivery of information technology services
· Ensure team members know and execute their respective roles and resources are used effectively
· Plan, execute, and close projects on-time and within the established scope of customer objectives
· Coordinate resolution of operations related issues
· Additional duties as required
Required Qualifications
· TS-SCI – can start with a Secret clearance

· Experience working in the DoD or Federal landscape
· Technically inclined, able to gain proficiency with disparate business applications quickly (Microsoft Project/Visio, ServiceNow, etc.)
· Able to maintain clear communication with a diverse team of individuals and eloquently communicate complex topics to non-technical individuals
· Is a leader and comfortable coordinating diverse teams of individuals
· Highly organized and able to maintain structure and efficiency even in chaotic environments
· A problem-solver and able to resolve issues without granular direction
· Flexible and able to multi-task effectively to meet delivery requirements on time in an often-shifting landscape
· Experience with direct customer support for both internal and external customers
· Experience working with enterprise information technology infrastructure including but not limited to data center operations, server hardware, operating systems, virtualization, networking, storage, monitoring, automation, etc.
