JOB SUMMARY- Construction Manager / Project Manager II (PE)
Construction Manager / Project Manager II (PE) plans, manages, and supervises the execution of company projects. IDES requires self-starters with the discipline and experience to complete tasks with minimal oversight. If you thrive in a fast-paced and diverse work environment, this is a great fit!
Responsibilities
- Managing cost certifications and construction of multiple land development projects for both public and private entities
- Coordinating with legal teams, design engineers, local jurisdiction staff & inspectors, project owners, and construction teams
- Managing bidding, bid evaluation, contract negotiations, construction administration and contract closeout with full knowledge of these processes
- Managing construction contract administration including processing invoices, change orders, RFI’s, submittals, and other contract documentation
- Having full knowledge and ability to understand and interpret construction plan documents, specifications, and multi-party agreements
- Creating proposals for new work and identifying marketing opportunities
- Completing additional duties often include developing and reviewing of cost estimates, project schedules, budgets, phasing, and preparation of cost certification, infrastructure acquisition and other reports
- Providing training, management and leadership to Project Engineers to ensure project objectives are met

Qualifications Required
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in the fields of construction or civil engineering
- PE certification required
Experience:
- 6-7 years of experience in the construction or engineering industry
- Proficient in interpreting plans, construction documents, specifications, and multi-party agreements is required
- Ability to use and navigate CAD is required
- Proficient in Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam is required
- Ability to work in the office and construction field sites
- Storm water management experience is preferred
Skills and Behaviors:
- Strong organization, communication, and time management skills to operate independently and ability to prioritize
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage high workload and 2-8 construction projects simultaneously
- Ability to manage 1-6 Project Engineers
- Ability to handle multiple tasks while meeting strict deadlines
- Ability to problem solve and adapt to situational changes
- Detailed and Team-oriented
