In a typical branch office, a financial advisor meets with clients and receives branch office support, so they can focus on building deep relationships with clients. Headquarters associates in St. Louis, Tempe and Mississauga provide support and expertise to help U.S. and Canada branch teams deliver an ideal client experience. We continue to grow to meet the needs of long-term individual investors.

We are seeking a Team Leader who will be responsible for leading Event Planners and Event Coordinators. This includes leading those who are planning for senior management meetings, training, and regional/area meetings. This role is responsible for managing large contracts with internal and external vendors. They will be creating event policies, procedures and guidelines, as well as identifying automation and efficiency opportunities.
It includes the following responsibilities:

Leadership of the team:

  • Provide systematic performance feedback to associates to motivate, set goals, enhance and recognize desired levels of performance.
  • Provide performance evaluations, salary administration, bonus allocation, and development opportunities for associates.
  • Hire, supervise, challenge and retain talented associates.
  • Develop and maintain an enriching, positive professional work atmosphere which supports the efforts of associates to complete their responsibilities.
  • Manage workflow of the team in collaboration with peers and delegate appropriately

Event Planning & Execution Strategy:

  • Develop and implement business plans for the department including succession planning
  • Work with peers and the team to set event best practices
  • Business Continuity and Planning for the teams and events
  • Create event policies, procedures and guidelines in collaboration with peers
  • Identify automation opportunities for events
  • Ensure alignment with other teams in T&EM
  • Assist team in building relationships with assigned business meeting owners.

Technology:

  • Serve as the voice of the user when partnering with vendors, stakeholders, designers, and Technology teams.
  • Aligns strategy to execution through the development and maintenance of the department's technology roadmap, outlining the body of work expected now, next and into the future

Vendor Management:

  • Manage large event vendors (e.g. large hotel contracts)
  • Manage best practices with internal and external vendors
  • Act as a SME during contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate with peers to use data to negotiate large volume deals with vendors

Project and Self Developmental Activities:

  • Manage Division wide initiatives and large scale projects when needed.
  • Build self and department performance management skills by engaging in development activities

Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience

The salary range for this role is based on national data and actual pay is based on skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors for a potential new associate:
