Sales Specialist:
We are looking for a motivated, self-organized scientific lab equipment Solution Specialist / Sales Representative to support current customers, expand current business and build a new customer base for products and services for the chemistry/biology research markets: this includes academic, biomedical, chemical and other fields of research and development. Areas of focus will include: developing opportunities to grow the business within an assigned territory, maintaining high customer satisfaction, building and maintaining relationships with distribution partners, growing market share with new and existing customers while achieving sales and profit goals.

Duties & Responsibilities:
·Strong work ethic and time management skills with the drive to produce in a high-expectation environment
·Develop and manage a list of current and potential customers via follow-up, networking, prospecting, cold calling, customer referrals, etc.
·Ability to work within a team environment but still work independently
·Manage the business through use of a CRM
·Perform product demonstrations via cart shows and tabletop shows
·Attend sales meetings, trade shows, seminars and special training as required
·Manage a demonstration inventory of equipment and a storage unit
Requirements:
· 1-3 years of experience selling scientific / laboratory products into biotech, academic and pharmaceutical account
·Chemistry or Life Science degree is preferred. Will consider equivalent education and experience
·Experience selling through distribution channels
·Strong presentation, analytical and customer service skills complimented by an aggressive and solution-oriented track record
·Excels in an entrepreneurial environment
·Must understand technical specifications and operations manuals
·Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication and presentation skills
·Proven record of establishing goals and achieving results
·Must possess a strong desire to serve the customer & provide effective communication methods. Upbeat, positive “can do” person; build rapport easily
·Ability to connect with life science/Chemistry investigators…have ability to understand their needs
·Must possess the organizational skills to multi-task and meet deadlines as needed
·Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations
