    Function / Position Summary
    This position is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day Human Resources staffing & recruitment duties including HRIS updates and maintenance, onboarding and exit process, I-9s, recruitment management system, new employee files, employee status changes, compiling reports, data analysis, and working with designated union groups to maintain employee seniority and labor relations.
    Job Duties / Responsibilities
    • Assist with coordinating and organizing all onboarding data for new hire candidates; executing tasks such as processing background checks, coordinating professional references, and name badges, organizing new hire packets, conducting new hire orientation, and following up with new hires to ensure a positive onboarding experience.
    • Comply with maintaining active and inactive employee personnel files and I-9 documentation according to federal and state law requirements.
    • Backup to HR Generalist for processing of new hire requests.
    • Maintain information in the Applicant Tracking System and other HR systems to ensure compliance with all union protocols related to hiring, interviews, employee testing, and seniority reports.
    • Work alongside HR Manager to assist in a multitude of HR-related projects.
    • Assist with planning and attending Job Fairs and other hiring events to promote district job openings.
    • Monitor and process all fingerprint/background checks.
    • Ensure compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification for all district employee hires.
    • Assist with managing the Director’s calls, calendar, schedule, and meetings.
    • Assist with maintaining the department website up to date.
    • Assist with updating and maintaining department processes and procedures in compliance with the district's ISO 9001:2015 certification standards.
    • Assist with the sub-calling systems for the District (Absence Management)
    • Assist with the creation, maintenance & updates of job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
    • Respond to varied general questions from applicants, employees, or managers.
    • Ability to run reports, gather, and analyze data.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion at all times.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    Education
    • Three years of previous Human Resources experience.
    • Associates degree preferred.
    • A diverse Human Resources background, covering the areas described above.
    • Highly effective communication skills, written and verbal.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Strong technical skills – i.e. with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google, applicant tracking systems, recruitment internet resources and search engines, etc.
    • Experience working with all levels of an organization.
    • Excellent organization, follow-up skills, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    Experience / Knowledge
    • Knowledge of overall staffing operations.
    • Knowledge of State and Federal employment law.
    • Excellent written and oral communications skills along with excellent computer skills.
    • Excellent organization, follow-up skills, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Strong time management skills with attention to detail.
    • Must possess a disciplined work style with the ability to show comparable urgency with proactive work as with deadline-driven work.
    • Willing and able to adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities while demonstrating flexibility and resilience.
    • Strong relationship building.
    Physical Demands
    • Ability to work in a very fast-paced and stressful environment.
    • Ability to work on a computer over a major portion of the work day.
    • Able to lift up to 25 pounds
    Terms of Employment
    • This is a 12-month work year position. Salary and benefits as established by the Board of Education.
    Salary Information
    • The full salary range for this position is $45,260.80 - $67,891.20. It is our typical practice to hire in between the minimum and midpoint ($56,576).
