Il Totano, a new restaurant opening in the West Village is looking for a Maitre D! We are looking for fun, kind, and respectful individuals who love working in hospitality. Be a team player! Opening experience a plus, but not required. We are looking for candidates with a genuine appreciation for the hospitality business, and a professional work ethic.Who you Are:
- A poised, stylish, and welcoming demeanor are essential.
- Able to handle sticky situations at the door while doing it with a smile while delivering genuine service.
- Upscale or Fine dining experience is preferred with great communication skills is required.
- Experience usingResy & OpenTableand has previously worked as a maitre'd in an upscale restaurant with significant walk in and waitlist covers.
- Some form ofprevious front door experience is required.
- The ideal candidate should be comfortable running the door, training new hosts, and navigating complicated situations with grace and calm.
- Knowledge of NYC Food Critics
