Icebox Cafe has been in business over 25 years. We are a food and beverage group with multiple retail restaurants, a commercial commissary, and Healthy Food Vending operations. We are rapidly expanding and looking for a Prep/Production Cook to support our culinary team in our Orlando commercial commissary.

A Prep Cook, is responsible for providing a supportive role to kitchen staff in the preparation of meals and ingredients.

JOB DESCRIPTION
-Perform routine kitchen tasks.
-Follow the prep list created to plan duties.
-Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they can be organized and easily accessible.-
-Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking.
-Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and other meal prep.
-Set up workstations and ingredients so that food can be prepared according to recipes.
-Undertake basic cooking duties, such as reducing sauces and parboiling food.
-Prepare simple dishes, such as salads and entrees.
-Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by sanitizing surfaces,
-Ensure that all food and other items are stored properly.
-Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
-Perform other kitchen duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Minimum of 1 year experience as a prep cook
High School Education preferred, any culinary school experience a plus
Knowledge of Health and Safety rules in a kitchen
Must be flexible to work various days and schedule
