Summary:

As an iAnthus Human Resources Business Partner, you'll play a strategic role in aligning human resources objectives with business goals. Reporting to the HR Business Partner Senior Manager, your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement HR strategies that enhance business performance, employee engagement, and organizational effectiveness. You will collaborate closely with department heads to understand business objectives and workforce needs, providing expert guidance on talent management, employee relations, and performance management. You'll contribute to shaping and implementing HR initiatives that enhance employee engagement, drive organizational effectiveness, and promote a positive workplace culture.Key Responsibilities:Your role as an HR Business Partner will require strong communication, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of both HR practices and the company’s business objectives. The following essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop HR strategies aligned with the organization's goals, contributing to the overall business strategy.
  • Oversee onboarding processes, ensuring a smooth integration for new hires into the organization.
  • Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance handling.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance employee engagement, satisfaction, and retention.
  • Provide guidance to managers on coaching, feedback, and the development of team members.
  • Manage the full employee life cycle from recruitment, orientation, skill enhancement, performance assessments, to separations, all while complying with company policies and meticulously organizing essential documents.
  • Identify training needs, develop training programs, and facilitate learning and development initiatives.
  • Develop, implement, and communicate HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Utilize HR metrics and data analysis to drive decision-making and improve HR processes.
  • Identify opportunities for organizational development and drive initiatives to improve workplace effectiveness.
  • Contribute to the management of employee hours and diligent payroll reviews.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, both physical and digital, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures, and legal regulations, assisting in the implementation and communication of HR policies.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and activities aimed at fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • Follow and implement the company’s core values including respect, diversity, sustainability, research, and service.
  • Adhere to iAnthus' cultural principles of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

Qualifications:

  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR management, business administration, organizational development or a related field is required.
  • Industry certifications such as SHRM-CP or PHR and/or an advanced college degree are highly preferred.
  • Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of the criminal background check.
  • Minimum of three years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with a focus on HR business partnering or strategic HR roles.
  • Demonstrated experience in handling HR initiatives, employee relations, talent management, organizational development, and HR strategy implementation.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills to align HR initiatives with business objectives and contribute to organizational growth.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with stakeholders, senior management, and employees.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships, influence decision-making, and resolve conflicts.
  • Leadership capabilities to lead HR teams, drive initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead by example in promoting a positive workplace culture.
  • Proficiency in change management principles, problem-solving, and decision-making to handle complex HR challenges and drive organizational change effectively.
  • Familiarity with HRIS/HCM and other HR-related software to manage data, metrics, and analytics for informed decision-making.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft software applications including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to identify issues, analyze situations, and propose solutions related to HR processes or employee inquiries.
  • Willingness to stay updated with industry trends, changes in employment laws, and best HR practices through continuous learning and professional development opportunities.
  • Expert knowledge of state-specific cannabis laws and regulatory compliance is non-negotiable.
