Job Title: Human Resource manager
Location: Hyatt Regency Greenville, SC
Overview:
The Hyatt Regency Greenville, SC is seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resource Managerto oversee all aspects of HR operations. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and implementing various HR functions, including benefits administration, employee relations, compliance, training, staffing development, and more. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned HR professional to join a prestigious hotel brand and contribute to the success of our team. You will serve as the direct point of contact for 160 associates for all HR related matters : Employee relations, Benefit Enrollment, Training & Compliance etc. In this role you willbe leading and supported by an HR Coordinator. Our ideal candidate will have experience leading an HR professional or a team and working with business' of similar sizes.
Responsibilities:
Benefits Administration: Manage and administer employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and coordinate open enrollment processes.
Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns. Address and resolve employee relations issues promptly and effectively, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
FMLA and Leave of Absence Management: Oversee the administration of FMLA and other leave programs. Provide guidance to employees regarding leave eligibility, documentation, and return-to-work processes.
Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and performance. Collaborate with department managers to identify training needs and deliver effective training solutions.
Compliance Reports: Prepare and submit compliance reports as required by federal, state, and local regulations. Stay informed about changes in employment laws and ensure organizational compliance.
Corrective Action: Advise management on appropriate disciplinary actions and corrective measures. Ensure consistency and fairness in disciplinary processes while upholding company policies and values.
Staffing Development: Develop strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent. Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, participate in recruitment efforts, and facilitate employee onboarding processes.
HR Administration: Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including record-keeping, recruiting, onboarding, policy implementation, and HRIS management. Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data confidentiality.
Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives aligned with organizational goals. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on HR-related matters.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in HR management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Thorough understanding of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a strategic mindset.
  • Proven track record of managing HR functions effectively and driving positive organizational change.
