The Role:
We're on the lookout for fantastic new Senior Construction Project Manager to welcome into the Hughes Marino San Diego team, and we would be thrilled to hear from you! This is an incredible opportunity to play an integral part in Hughes Marino's many areas of exciting growth.

The Senior Project Manager position includes occasional travel, offering you the chance to visit our exceptional offices nationwide and collaborate with our outstanding brokers and clients on projects within their respective markets.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Manage all facets of multiple, concurrent commercial construction projects from inception through to the completion of construction.
  • Interface with Hughes Marino brokers and our clients on new project requirements.
  • Assist in the review of Leases and Work Letters as it pertains to construction related items.
  • Manage up to two internal project managers/project engineers in support of ongoing projects
  • Develop initial project budgets and schedules for multiple types of projects of different sizes and complexity.
  • Manage project progress against approved budgets, timelines and client directed goals.
  • Assemble, manage and coordinate project teams required to complete projects. This typically includes the entire design team, general contractor, furniture vendor and other client vendors.
  • Managing change order, invoicing, tenant improvement allowance reimbursement and project close-out processes.
  • Actual compensation within $150,000 - $180,000 range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications.
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Experience in the Life Science industry and/or GMP facilities are strongly preferred.
  • Experience with tenant improvement projects is strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing people internally and externally
  • Applicants should be highly proficient in Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Project.
  • Must be a self-starter and possess a strong ability to handle multiple projects at once and meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to manage time effectively and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
  • Able to establish and maintain a strong working relationship with client(s) and internal partners.
Qualifications:
  • Must be a local candidate and will be based out of our beautiful San Diego office if selected.
  • The ideal candidate will preferably have 5-10 years of experience in the construction industry. We are looking for candidates who have served in Construction Project Manager or Senior Project Manager type roles.
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college required, preferably in a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, polished and a proud representative of the Hughes Marino brand.
  • Occasional travel as required.
  • Strong Microsoft Office proficiency.
