Background
Hudson River Community Sailing (HRCS) is an established and growing experiential education organization that uses sailing as a platform for teaching leadership and STEM to underserved NYC public school students. Through our dual mission, we develop academic success and leadership in NYC youth and provide maritime education to the city at large. We work in partnership with public schools to teach students math, science, and leadership through sailing and boatbuilding. HRCS serves the broader community through a community sailing school that provides sailing lessons and a membership program. HRCS has locations in Chelsea and Inwood.
