The Training Specialist is a full-time position, responsible for developing and implementing Hubbard House staff/volunteer development and training initiatives and strategic priorities to cultivate a high performance, trauma-informed, survivor-focused team. The Training Specialist provides development and training to all Hubbard House staff and volunteers, with a primary focus on direct-service staff/volunteers. The Training Specialist may also provide community education and professional training in the community, as assigned. The Training Specialist primarily works during normal business hours, but must be flexible in working hours that includes evenings, overnight, and weekends to provide hands-on training, coaching, mentoring, and observation of staff/volunteers.
Requirements:College degree with at least two years applicable experience working with families in crisis, human services, training, education, or public speaking preferred. Must possess strong customer service and relationship building skills. Experience working with victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, or human trafficking a plus. Bilingual abilities a plus. Supervisor experience a plus. HS diploma, GED, or equivalent considered with applicable experience. Experience in Microsoft Office (or equivalent) and data entry. A valid driver’s license and dependable transportation required. Vehicle insurance must be maintained. Must meet eligibility requirements for Hubbard House, Inc. vehicle insurance coverage. All applicants must pass a level-2 background screening.
