Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Service Technician to join our team. 

This job requires an individual that has mechanical and technical ability in order to repair outdoor power equipment including but not limited to John Deere, Stihl, Honda, and Billy Goat products. This job also requires a dedicated team member who does whatever it takes, gives more than is expected, is organized and with a focus and a desire to serve others both inside and outside our store.

Responsibilities:

• Essential Duties:

  • Reflects the core values of HRM Enterprises - treating others as they would want to be treated.
  • Repairs and maintains small engines, compacts, lawn equipment, mowers, tillers, chainsaws, blowers and other related vehicles and equipment.
  • Diagnoses small engine problems.
  • Helps maintain shop area cleanliness.
  • Ability to clearly explain (if called upon) to the customer’s satisfaction the diagnosis and repair of the machine in question.
  • Continually seeks both technical and product training when available.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness - improves and promotes quality, and monitors own work to ensure quality.
  • Observes all safety and security procedures, reports potentially unsafe conditions, and uses equipment and materials properly.
  • Follows instructions and promptly responds to management direction.

  Job Particulars

  • Full Time - up to 45 hours average in peak season or at the direction of management; 40 hours in the off season.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs continuously.

  Education and Experience

  • Experience with John Deere, Honda, and Stihl power equipment.
  • Able to supply own tools or purchase through the employer at a discount.
  • Able to take on tasks by themselves with little supervision.
  • A clean driving record.
