Position Overview:

As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for transporting products from our hardware store to customers' locations in a safe and efficient manner. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a dedication to delivering an exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities:

  1. Vehicle Operation:
    • Safely operate a delivery vehicle, following all traffic rules and regulations.
    • Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  2. Loading and Unloading:
    • Load products onto the delivery vehicle, ensuring secure and proper placement.
    • Unload products at customer locations, verifying items against delivery invoices.
  3. Route Planning:
    • Plan delivery routes efficiently to optimize time and fuel consumption.
    • Use GPS or navigation tools to navigate through city streets and highways.
  4. Customer Interaction:
    • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, including polite and professional communication.
    • Assist customers with unloading products and answer any delivery-related inquiries.
  5. Product Verification:
    • Verify that delivered products match customer orders and delivery invoices.
    • Report any discrepancies or damages to the supervisor and assist in resolving issues.
  6. Safety and Compliance:
    • Adhere to safety protocols during loading, unloading, and transportation.
    • Ensure that all products are secured and properly strapped in the delivery vehicle.
  7. Vehicle Maintenance:
    • Perform basic maintenance tasks on the delivery vehicle, such as fueling, checking oil levels, and reporting any issues.
    • Keep the delivery vehicle clean and organized.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Non CDL driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must meet DOT requirements including physical, medical card and DOT drug screen.
  • Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Excellent navigational skills and familiarity with local roadways.
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Schedule:

  • Minimum of 40 hours per week (Average 45 to 48 hours per week)

  • Monday – Friday day shift schedule
