Insight Global is Hiring a Human Resources Generalist Near Hampton, VA

Please note: this role is located in Hampton VA and candidates must be local or willing to relocate within 3-4 weeks of an offer.

Targeted Compensation Range: $70,000 - $80,000

Job Description

Insight Global is currently seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join a large federal client in Hampton, Virginia.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for recruitment efforts, new hire orientation and onboarding, employee termination, payroll and benefits, company policy and procedure adherence. In addition, you will build strong relationships with our company's managers in order to help them with their human resource needs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee full-cycle of recruitment efforts
  • Develop and oversee new hire orientation, onboarding efforts and employee termination process
  • Assist with payroll and benefits administration
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and legal Responsibilities

Required Skills & Experience

  • Provides HR support to location, including high volume salaried recruiting, employee relations, incident investigations, talent development, HRIS updates, discipline, coaching/mentoring, etc.
  • Advising, counseling, and supporting all operations in adhering to and enforcing corporate and local operations, HR policies.
  • Assist with onboarding new employees to include entering data in various systems.
  • Ensuring compliance with HR policies and practices, as well as complying to federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Responsible for recruitment and retention activities for employees, this includes full cycle recruiting, providing data and analysis to support key HR initiatives.
  • Assisting with creating and implementing strategic HR programs and communications.
  • Participation in counseling and termination proceedings.
  • Ensure all activities are strategic and in compliance with our equal employment policies and practices.
  • Assists with AAP reports.
  • Conduct weekly new hire orientation for hourly and salaried employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Human Resources, or related area
  • 5 years' of experience working in Human Resources
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Plusses:

  • SHRM-CP or PHR are preferred qualifications
