Hotel Ballast is looking for a qualified candidate for our open Guest Service Agent position. The Guest Service Agent is responsible for providing a friendly and welcoming registration process. Below is a summary of the essential job functions:

• Register guests and assign rooms
• Accommodate special requests as able
• Ensure accurate guest information is received
• Process guest check-outs
• Follows procedures on posting charges and refunds
• Communicate all pertinent information to direct manager
• Resolve guest grievances
• Proper phone etiquette
• Maintains cleanliness of the front desk area
• Knowledgeable in safety and emergency procedures
• Understands the reservation process
• Promote and sell special hotel programs
• Knowledgeable of hotel layout, room rates and types of rooms
• Provide exceptional customer service and a welcoming smile!

Qualifications

• Must have weekend/evening availability
• High School or equivalent
• Two years experience in a service industry, preferably in Hospitality
• Neat appearance and pleasant personality
• Ability to work on feet for extended period of time
• Excellent communication skills
• Pleasant telephone demeanor

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $15.50 per hour
