POSITION SUMMARY:
The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring assigned projects meet both the customer's and the Horch Roofing’s expectations for safety, quality, timeliness and cost effectiveness. The Project Manager must establish and maintain collaborative relations with customers, subcontractors and Horch Roofing personnel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ensures jobs are ready for production by:
a. Communicating with the Production Coordinator and understanding the schedule. b. Verifying material availability with the Production Coordinator and Superintendents to ensure subcontractors have necessary materials.
c. Reviewing each job packet in advance to ensure a clearly defined scope of work and verifying accuracy with Superintendents.
d. Communicate in advance with the subcontractor to fully explain the scope of work and ensure they are prepared with the necessary tools and equipment to perform to contract specifications.
2. Ensure the customers, general contractors, and the production team are continuously aware of project logistics and changes to contracts and/or timeline through phone communication and documentation.
3. Provides the Subcontracting Foreman with the necessary information:
a. Horch Roofing’s specifications required to complete the job with quality and safety
b. Time frames required to meet customer expectations
c. Negotiates compensation agreement to meet Horch Roofing specifications
4. Maintains accurate production packets and documentation related to the project through Horch Roofing apps & platforms including: updated pricing, material, extra time used, all receipts related to the job; and, ensures paperwork is processed to production coordinators within one business day.
5. Daily progress documentation from start to finish through photographs and the use of Company Cam.
6. Maintains Horch Roofing reputation by:
a. Installing Horch Roofing drop signs at strategic locations to increase visibility and recognition in the community.
b. Maintains strong relations with customers and general contractors to reconcile problems or issues related to the contracted project, including post project completion.
c. Ensuring the job site is in “as found” or “better” condition than upon departure.
7. Ensures material inventory is maintained in “undamaged condition” by properly loading, unloading, storing and securing materials upon departure or arrival at the Horch Roofing Yard.
8. Remains up to date with safety and roofing best practices by completing necessary training (e.g., OSHA or new work practices) or other training deemed necessary by Horch Roofing.
