The Opportunity with McKinstry
We are currently seeking a Project Manager to join our Electrical Construction team in Portland, OR. We are looking for someone who likes to develop and manage project plans, schedules, and scopes of work in a fast-paced atmosphere. You will be joining an established and diverse team where you will be able to make an immediate impact. You are someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and are passionate about solving problems and achieving goals. Additionally, some responsibilities you will have include:
  • Transitioning project management and engineering activities through the design to construction phase.
  • Developing and managing project plans, schedules, and scopes of work.
  • Preparing client and subcontractor change orders.
  • Monitor, control, and report on the financial performance of projects.
  • Coordination of work with trades, subcontractors and vendors.
  • Coach and mentor project team members.
  • Develop project staffing plans to include labor, subcontractors.
What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Five to ten (5-10) years of experience in project management, engineering, or construction
  • Proficient with scheduling software: Microsoft Project, Primavera, and/or Suretrak preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook and required
  • Proficient with construction estimating programs and software preferred

The pay range for this position is $84,240 - $130,680 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
