Hopkins Center for Rehabilitation is seeking a qualified and dedicated Admissions Coordinator / Liaison to join our dynamic team.

Salary $55,000-$65,000/year

Admissions Coordinator/Liaison Job Description:

The Admissions Coordinator/Liaison will serve as an internal admission coordinator and also work part time as an external marketing liaison with hospitals. Must have the skill set to work with hospitals and medical facilities in the Brooklyn and Manhattan area to identify and help place individuals with skilled nursing needs at Hopkins Center.

Admissions Coordinator Job Summary:

  • Coordinate and facilitate appropriate admission to our facility.
  • Completes paperwork to process new and readmissions
  • Maintain contact with residents and families regarding potential admissions.
  • Conduct interviews and tours of the facility.
  • Verify resident insurance.
  • Educate family members and prospective residents regarding Hopkins Center services
  • Generate new referrals by establishing relationships social workers, case managers and other appropriate professional contacts within hospital or other accounts.
  • Maintain current knowledge and understanding of client payment sources, i.e. HMO, commercial insurance, Medicare, Medicaid, etc.
  • Complete census reports and other required logs and summaries.
  • Candidates for this job should: be self-driven with sales experience and marketing expertise.
  • Have business development goals and ability to execute plans to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Possess excellent sales and marketing communication, time management and organizational skills
  • Must have a great personality, self-sufficient and strong work ethic
  • Understand the responsibilities of key territory members and how to work regional/local systems, hospital/academic institutions
  • Understand the major functions of a marketer and knowledge of key local customers in the community.
  • Establish credibility with key accounts, targeted customers to become regarded as a valued strategic partner.
  • Must be a self-starter, capable of organizing time, and being strategic with unexpected circumstances
  • Achieve sales growth in territory and deliver strong sales results.

Hopkins Center for Rehabilitation is a 288-bed skilled nursing facility located in Brooklyn, NY in close proximity to all local hospitals. Our newly renovated facility is widely recognized as one of the most attractive in the area.
Through the years, Hopkins Center has continued to grow and evolve to meet community needs, and today offers a full continuum of care, from temporary respite stays, to short-term rehabilitation, to long-term skilled nursing care, as well as a broad array of specialty programs and services.
Moreover, our convenient location, located near mass transit, provides immediate access to hospital specialists in virtually every area of medicine, as well as emergency care, should it be required.

Full time Position Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently or part of a group.
  • Bi-lingual

Experience:

  • Long Term Care: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)
