TEKsystems is Hiring a Patient Service Representative Near Baltimore, MD

Description:

Completing data collection, closing gaps in care, and assisting in the coordination of care for patients. They will promote patient centered care and work collaboratively with primary care providers and the care teams.

• Obtain records from other providers results as needed for care coordination efforts.

• Assist in obtaining medical records and facilitating communication between multiple providers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

1-3 years of healthcare experience-- Must have both front and back office clinic experience. Someone who has been an MA and also worked up front either doing both or a Med Sec role in previous work.

Excellent customer service skills (looking for someone who has a passion for this type of job and who wants to be there LONG TERM CAREER) and able to align with their mission in the community

Must have experience collecting patient information prior to Doctor appts

• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills

• Some medical terminology

• Working knowledge of health insurance plans

• Basic understanding of HIPAA and PHI

• Basic navigational knowledge of electronic medical record applications

• Must have excellent time management skills, be organized, self-motivated

• Possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

• Maintain a high level of productivity and confidentiality

• Work well in a team environment.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks at once without mistakes or diminution of professional demeanor and customer service.

• Effectively able to prioritize and maintain workflow

• Ability to effectively and efficiently solve problems as presented in real time.
