Summary

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager-Patient Care Services will oversee Inpatient Pediatrics and the Pediatric ICU at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore. Responsible for ensuring that safe, age-appropriate patient care is provided during hours of unit operation. Functions as role model, advisor, resource, and leader for other members of the patient care team. Unified by the core purpose of creating a healthier community one person at a time, the members of the Division of Patient Care Services commit themselves to sustaining a culture focused on achieving optimal patient outcomes. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

Basic professional knowledge; equivalent to a Bachelor's degree; working knowledge of theory and practice within a specialized field
BSN degree from a CCNE accredited School of Nursing. In addition, a MSN, MS, MA, MHA or MBA is preferred.
3-5 years of experience with 5 years progressive nursing experience in specified field, with preference for demonstrated progression in supervisory responsibilities
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) per unit guidelines
American Heart Association CPR (BLS)
Maryland Registered Nurse License (RN)
Certification Neonatal Resuscitation Program per unit guidelines
National Certification preferred within one year of hire
