An excellent career opportunity is currently available for a Research Scientist within UOP's R&D Catalysis Fundamentals and Applications Research Group located in Des Plaines, IL. future.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain an active project portfolio of research projects in the areas of catalysis, electrocatalysis, catalytic materials, and/or hydrocarbon conversion chemistry.
Propose and execute experimental plans within a team of scientists and engineers to build fundamental understanding of catalytic systems and innovate to develop novel solutions.
Interface with other UOP departments including New Materials, Development, Exploratory Platforms, Adsorbents, Pilot Plants, Analytical and Advanced Characterization to ensure robust catalysis research and development programs and ensure alignment with business objectives. Communicate important project results to cross-functional program teams.
Stay current on patent and open literature as they relate to research programs and identify opportunities for research directions. Document all innovative concepts and assist in the generation of intellectual property.
Participate in all departmental safety activities and conduct all work with a high degree of attention to safety.
