An excellent career opportunity is currently available for a Lead R&D Engineer/Scientist in the Process Modeling and Optimization Development group within UOP's Research and Development organization located in Des Plaines, IL. This position affords a unique and visible opportunity to develop reactor and process models and enhanced data analytics tools which are critical to the development and support of new process technologies from their inception in R&D through the commercialization stage. Position Responsibilities: •Taking a leading role in developing new process models and tools to maximize the value delivered to clients by Honeywell UOP technology. •Leading new product development programs for sensor enabled integrated data analytics solutions •Leading capability programs to enable digitalization of R&D infrastructure •Mentoring and coaching modeling and optimization engineers in supporting the development of new models and data analytics tools •Championing model based experimental design to reduce project cycle time and improve experimental efficiency •Supporting the scale-up of technology from Research & Development into Engineering production. •Find solutions to technical problems, both individually and by supporting the efforts of diverse groups of technical experts. •The ability to travel both domestic and internationally approximately 10% annually.
