The R&D Engineer Scientist II – Data Scientist will work within a team of scientists that use a variety of analytical techniques in the Materials Characterization group to support characterization of materials and process streams from R&D labs and pilot plants. This position will support the development and implementation of digital solutions and data analytics to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of analytical characterization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Utilize data science methodologies to analyze experimental data, interpret findings, discern trends, and derive actionable insights.
•Develop programmatic data processing solutions leveraging analytical methods and equipment output, encompassing statistical analysis, visualization techniques, and efficient data transfer mechanisms to optimize data delivery.
•Enhance analytical productivity through the automation of repetitive manual tasks.
•Apply machine learning algorithms for tasks such as classification, quantification, and property prediction.
•Collaborate closely with internal and cross-functional teams to grasp requirements and provide actionable insights for R&D projects.
