In Kansas City, Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies (FM&T) manages and operates the U.S. Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration’s (NNSA) Kansas City National Security Campus. This state-of-the-art engineering, manufacturing and sourcing facility produces a wide array of intricate components to deliver trusted national security products and government services primarily for the NNSA. Honeywell FM&T’s culture of integrity, commitment and continuous improvement enables them to deliver responsive, collaborative, and innovative management and technology services and products that translate into cutting edge solutions to complex national security issues.

Summary of Duties:

  • Recognized as a Product Launch (PL) authority, both inside and outside the KCNSC
  • Plans and executes PL research, leadership, development, and applications
  • Leads cross-Complex PL program(s), strategic planning, and process development
  • Facilitates PL strategy deployment across the KCNSC and at the Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE) level
  • Ensures that integrated program management processes are aligned with industry PL best practices and are consistently applied across the business
  • Management, oversight, and execution of Program Excellence and PL; Leads KCNSC and NSE projects to standardize and execute best business processes
  • Drives continual operational alignment of PL initiatives and tools with strategic goals to ensure consistency across NSE programs
  • Leads strategic planning/management for key complex programs, internally and across the NSE
  • Primary PL liaison with program leadership at the DOE, NSE Design/Production Agencies, and internal KCNSC executive leadership
  • Integrates customer needs and business requirements with competencies, driving market growth
  • Recommends/leads the development and implementation of major revisions in approaches for managing the most complex NSE program
  • Advises and consults as a PL expert to other Program Management staff and leadership, internally and across the NSE
  • Leads teams and matrix reports to manage day-to-day requirements
  • Represents MA leadership, as delegated
  • Assists with staffing selection/development
  • Provides matrix management leadership for project leads. Ensures that key projects are prioritized/managed to successful completion
  • May provide leadership for execution of business training/development across NSE organizations
  • Exercises technical knowledge to identify and mitigate risks
  • Leads the conduct of activities in a safe and healthy manner; works in accordance with established HS&E requirements
