HOLT Group is Hiring an Accounting Manager 1 Near Irving, TX

Job Summary: This position manages accounting functions/processes such as Project Management, Revenue Recognition, General Ledger, etc. by providing leadership and direction to the function’s staff and project team for projects within the engine division.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required. 
  • Master’s degree preferred. 
  • Certified Public Accounting (CPA) required. 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project accounting experience.
  • Two years of supervisory or management experience required. 
  • Extensive knowledge of business accounting principles, budget preparation, and strong business acumen.
  • Expert knowledge of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles) as it applies to the industry and company.
  • Advanced knowledge of the fundamental audit strategies that include policies, procedures, and best practices in addition to emerging audit practices and trends. 
  • Advanced understanding of MS Office products. 
  • Strong research, problem-solving, and investigation skills. 
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills including both written and oral. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to establish working relationships with multiple departments and various levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, multi-tasking, and time management skills, deadline oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

Essential Functions:

  • Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission.
  • Contributes, along with direct Supervisor, to the hiring, development, evaluation, and influencing of effective and consistent productivity and teamwork to ensure the delivery of Legendary Customer Service.
  • Supports direct Supervisor and other Finance Leaders through planning, coordination, and implementation of special internal financial reports, assigned projects, and activities.
  • Responsible for the execution of accounting functions including the monthly financial close, posting of month-end information, executing tax-related reporting processes, and the reconciliation of general ledger accounts ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Provides accounting assistance to business units, vendor payments, and responds to financial questions/concerns to meet business needs.
  • Collaborates with other business units to support the successful execution of vendor payments and payment terms.
  • Recommends to direct supervisor the assignments and work of accounting staff to ensure department objectives are timely met.
  • Answers and resolves escalated customer (internal/external) questions and needs.
  • Compiles and analyzes financial information and departmental metrics.
  • Works safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
