About these Opportunities: 7-Eleven Inc. has several opportunities for 2024 Summer Internships. Each internship opportunity will occur during the summer months, (10-12 weeks), focused on a specific functional area, and will provide the candidate with a depth experience within the area, culminating in a project presentation to functional leaders. Each intern will work closely with a coach who will meet regularly to discuss project progress, provide direction and ongoing feedback. In addition, each intern will attend a lunch series which will provide a cross-functional view into the organization and give the interns exposure to senior leadership. The interns will also have the experience of touring a store and learning about our distribution systems.

The intern will assist with a wide range of duties, including analyzing data, preparing financial reports, and learning about various accounting activities. This is an exciting opportunity for an undergraduate or graduate level student pursuing a career in Accounting or Finance. Full and part-time opportunities available.Practical experience with a wide variety of accounting activities. Shadowing, mentoring, and training opportunities with seasoned professionals.Opportunity to participate in networking events and company meetings.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with month-end close and general ledger account reconciliations
• Assist with audits and quarterly SOX assessments and documentation
• Collaborate with the finance team on annual forecasting efforts
• Assist with data entry and other ad-hoc projects as requested

Requirements:

• Accounting major preferred
• 3 year undergraduate or graduate students
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Basic understanding of accounting principles
• Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously, stay organized, and focus on details
• Strong writing, presentation, collaboration, communication, and leadership skills
