ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage overall casino beverage and coffee bar operations creating a differentiated service experience and ensuring optimum performance of all cocktail service.
  • Supervise the work processes and procedures of casino beverage team members including the assignment of tasks or apportionment of work to be done.
  • Train Team Members in beverage service, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure efficient service and conformance to standards.
  • Monitor budgets and payroll records, and review financial transactions to ensure that expenditures are authorized and budgeted.
  • Control inventories of beverages, including liquor, and report any shortages to designated personnel.
  • Analyze operational problems, such as theft and waste, and establish procedures to alleviate these problems.
  • Interview, select and train new Team Members.
  • Review, adjust and administer working schedules of Team Members.
  • Plan work processes and determine effective techniques or processes to be used by Team Members in the course of business.
  • Understand and adhere to disciplinary policies including but not limited to counseling Team Members and the use of progressive discipline.
  • Address and manage complaints, grievances or concerns from Team Members.
  • Effectively use, administer and manage rewards and recognition for front line Team Members.
  • Review the performance, productivity and efficiency of Team Members including but not limited to periodic evaluations.
  • Recommend or oppose the change in status of Team Members including but not limited to changes from full time to part time, promotions, and transfers.
  • Effectively and efficiently manage labor costs and staffing objectives while achieving guest satisfaction.
  • Acts as a role model to other employees and presents oneself as a credit to Company and encourages others to do the same.
  • Provide for the safety of team members, including keeping areas clean and free of safety hazards, debris and litter and performing all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Supervise and manage attendance and time records of team members.
  • Effectively manage departmental expenses.
  • Protect and preserve assets of the company.
  • Understand and adhere to bargaining unit agreements.
  • Perform other job related and compatible duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 years progressively more challenging leadership role in casino beverage, restaurant and/or bar establishment preferred
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications
  • Ability to earn and maintain ServSafe certification
  • Ability to prepare, understand and analyze Department Budgets, Capital Expenditures, and P&L Statements
