Holiday Inn Express & Suites Dallas East Fair Park is Hiring a Hotel General Manager Near Dallas, TX

UNDER NEW MANAGMENT!

We are looking for a General Manager to oversee the operations of our hotel. We are looking for someone who truly enjoys the hospitality business. The ideal candidate should be able to lead by example and have great verbal, nonverbal, and written communication skills. They should also have time management and organizational skills, as well as exceptional customer service skills.

The General Manager will be expected to meet brand standards and policies, and maximize revenue, as well as guest service scores and experience. They should also be able to create an environment that is motivating and promotes teamwork and growth within the hotel.

Job Requirements(include but are not limited to)

  • Responsible for overall profitable management of the property.
  • Marketing/advertising to maximize revenue
  • Developing community relationships
  • Record keeping and inventory
  • Employee staffing and training
  • Manage unexpected situations involving guests, employees, and the property in a professional manner.
  • Must be available to work all shifts in case of call-outs/emergencies
  • Must have on-call availability

Essential Job Functions(include but are not limited to)

  • Coordinate and supervise the various departments to ensure an environment in which high standards of comfort, service, and quality exist for our guests.
  • Provide quality service for guests and maintain positive guest relations.
  • Implement and maintain a positive marketing and sales program.
  • Actively participate in business, community, and civic affairs in the local area.
  • Maintain the hotel in an attractive and economical manner in compliance with all brand standards.
  • Ensure all reports of revenue, expenses, business volume, personnel, payroll, and assets are submitted to the Management office as required.
  • Ensure all policies, procedures, federal, state, and local laws are adhered to by all employees, in regard to personnel, security, guest relations, safety, etc.
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of supplies and achieve budgeted cost controls in breakfast supplies, linen, guest room supplies, cleaning supplies, chemicals, utilities, telephone costs, etc.
  • Ensure personnel development so all subordinate personnel is receiving adequate training, development, motivation, and performance review feedback.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Experience or Training Required:

  • Associates or Bachelors degree
  • Previous AGM or GM experience
  • A combination of experience and education will be considered

  • Must be friendly and cheerful; able to interact easily with strangers.
  • Must work well in stressful situations, remaining calm and demonstrating good judgment and self-control in emergency and difficult situations.
  • Ability to delegate, give direction and set priorities.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • The ability for strong organizational skills and strong detail orientation.
  • Ability to use tact and diplomacy to resolve conflict.
  • Grooming must meet property standards

The employee is expected to perform faithfully, industriously, and to the best of their ability, experience, and talent, all the duties that may be required by the express, and implicit terms and to the reasonable satisfaction of the employer. The employee is expected to execute all necessary job requirements of this position and perform them safely.

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
