HR Manager - Holbrook Heating

Holbrook Heating, a well-established HVAC company in Jamesville, NY, is seeking a qualified HR Manager to join our team.

About the Role:

 In this role, you will play a critical role in supporting our employees and ensuring a smooth operation of the HR department. This position encompasses all aspects of HR generalist work, including: 

  • Payroll Processing: Ensuring accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll.
  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Participating in the recruitment process for new hires, including screening resumes, conducting interviews, and facilitating onboarding activities.
  • Background Checks : Manage background checks 
  •  Workers' Comp: managing workers' compensation claims as per company policy.
  •  Benefits Administration: Assisting with the administration of employee benefit programs. 
  • 401(k) Monitoring & Open Enrollment: Contributing to the administration of the 401(k) plan and supporting open enrollment for benefits.
  • Employee Relations: Addressing employee concerns, participating in conflict resolution, and contributing to a positive work environment.
  • Benefits Administration: Assisting with the administration of employee benefit programs.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all state and federal labor laws.

Requirements

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in HR generalist or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of HR laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Experience with payroll processing, benefits administration, and workers' compensation.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, manage deadlines, and work independently.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and HR software (a plus).
